Summer in the Shape of a Flower

Sunflowers seem to hold the whole season in a single bloom: clear yellow, strong green, and a dark center that makes the color around it feel even brighter. They are fresh without being delicate, cheerful without needing to be sweet.
There is something wonderfully direct about them. They do not disappear into an arrangement or wait to be noticed. Among blue, violet, white, or green, they remain unmistakably themselves, bringing warmth and an easy sense of abundance wherever they are placed.

Perhaps that is why they feel so right in summer. They meet the season at its brightest — open, generous, and fully turned toward the light.
